He went to and graduated from Proviso East High School, and he studied law at Triton Junior College. When he was a student he joined the NAACP to fight against civil rights. Fred than joined the Black Panther Party making the first one in Chicago November 1968. He made many achievements in protecting citizens. In latter life he was arrested and charged with stealing Sweets witch he gave to local children. He died from a gun fire from a police officer.the oficer claimed he fired first. He was killed by standing up for what he belived in witch made him a Martyr. This Scared many people.
